Mountview partners to award £100,000 of scholarship support over next four years

Announcing a major partnership with producers of musical theatre, Crossroads Live, Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts has revealed it will be offering a new scholarship scheme to students over the next four years.

The Crossroads Live Scholarships will support students undertaking undergraduate courses in Musical Theatre, Acting and Actor Musicianship from September 2023.

Mountview and Crossroads Live say that this financial support is part of their commitment to removing barriers to careers in the arts, reinforcing their ethos that during the cost-of-living crisis especially, a person’s circumstances should never prevent them from reaching their potential.

‘Mountview is incredibly excited to announce this new four-year sponsorship from Crossroads Live,’ says principal Sally Ann Gritton. ‘These scholarships will enable some of the most talented students in the UK to train at Mountview. The impact of this partnership cannot be understated, helping us to achieve our commitment to access and continue to deliver a pipeline of extraordinarily skilled performers to the creative industries.’

On the news, co-CEO of Crossroads Live Group, David Ian, says: ‘It’s vitally important that we do whatever we can to help encourage and support the next generation of acting talent and Crossroads Live’s financial commitment to this scheme over the next four years will help make their dreams a reality.’
