Brief course content overview

We offer a range of degree programmes for careers in the theatre and live events industry.

Our Acting and Performance degrees provide a range of opportunities to develop your skills in preparation to enter the industry and include public performances in the third year.

Our BA (Hons) Acting and BA (Hons) Actor Musicianship programmes include a West End showcase in front of agents, casting directors and directors. There are also opportunities to spend a semester training in America (through BA (Hons) American Theatre Arts) or Europe (BA (Hons) European Theatre Arts).

Our Design, Management and Technical Arts degrees cover a range of skills including costume production, lighting design, lighting and video programming, scenic arts, stage and events management and theatre design. The courses include industry placements, experience working on productions and an industry networking event in the final year.

Our online Theatre Studies degree is an ideal choice if you want to learn remotely on a full-time or part-time basis.

Fees, bursaries, and other finance information

Tuition fees for our taught BA (Hons) degrees for UK/EU students are £9,250 for the 2020/21 academic year. Fees vary for international students and our online Theatre Studies degree. Please visit individual course pages at www.bruford.ac.uk for full details.

Accommodation options

Our Christopher Court Hall of Residence includes 168 en-suite rooms and is a short walk away from the campus and Sidcup Railway Station.

Acting and Performance Auditions

Audition fees vary for each of our programmes. Full details can be found on the Interview and Audition page on our website.

We don't charge an audition fee if you:

  • Audition as part of a progression agreement
  • Have a household income of under £25,000 per year
  • Are in receipt of benefits including disability benefits: Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • Are Care Experienced (Care Leaver/in the care of your Local Authority)
  • Have Caring Responsibilities (Young Carer/Carer)
  • Can offer other evidence of financial hardship
  • Are being auditioned overseas.

 

We offer auditions in centres around the UK, and these will be free for many applicants who would otherwise find it difficult to attend.
