Tall Stories

Inspired by the book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, the story follows a young girl and her seafaring father as they reimagine the story of a snail’s trip around the world on the tail of a humpback whale. The performance will use live music, storytelling and audience participation via the chat function to bring the story to life.

Each performance will be linked to and marketed by a regional UK venue which will receive a share of the ticket revenue, so audiences are encouraged to support their local theatres. These partnered venues include the Lowry, Salford, Derby Theatre, Brighton Dome, Dundee Rep and Plymouth Theatre Royal, and the Pleasance, London. The productions will be broadcast live from Tall Stories’ new studio and performance space in Islington Central Library, London.

Tickets are £10 per family, although there are £15 and £20 options for those able to contribute more to Tall Stories (a registered charity) and the selected local theatre. The play is suitable for ages 4+ and performances are streamed live at 11am and 2pm.
