First, some things about you: What is your occupation?

I am an actor.

Where did you study/train?

I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

What's been the proudest moment of your career so far?

The next moment is always my proudest, I try never to look back.

What did you think of the drama lessons you received at secondary school?

I sadly had no drama lessons at school so I got involved through doing school plays.

What do you think about the state of drama education today?

I think it needs to be more prominent. I really believe that you should make the most of the drama opportunities whilst at school, as it's a way of expressing yourself in a safe environment.

What would you say to a young person considering a career in drama?

I would say go for it, but only if you really want it. There are no half measures in acting; commitment, hard work and being open to constantly learning is essential.

What's next for you?

I'm currently playing Inspector Dermot Craddock in the first ever UK stage adaptation Agatha Christie's The Mirror Crack'd, which I will be touring until April.

What impact do you hope that your work has on young people?

I'm not sure about impact, but if someone has seen me tell a character's story and it's been interesting or enjoyable for them then I believe have done my job.

The Mirror Crack'd – in a new adaptation by Rachel Wagstaff – will play Cambridge Arts Theatre from 19-23 March and New Theatre Cardiff from 26 March-6 April 2019.
