- 1 Year Professional Development Programme - Foundation Plus in Musical Theatre
School overview
BIGLITTLE Theatre School is a South Dorset school with an excellent reputation for Musical Theatre classes and Youth Theatre for children and young people. Building on the success of previous programmes, BIGLITTLE launched the Professional Development Programme Foundation Plus, a bespoke course for students aged 18+ who have left full-time education and are looking for an intensive and focussed training course.
The programme is part-time (3 days per week), allowing students availability to work to help fund their studies. Successful completion of the course leads to a Trinity level 4 diploma in Musical Theatre. The Foundation Plus level within the Professional Development Programme is a thorough preparation year for full time HE study and is open to all applicants, not just existing students of BIGLITTLE.
With a 100% success rate in progression to HE conservatoire training, and distinctions at Level 4 Trinity MT Solo Examinations in 2024, we know we are delivering excellent pathway training into the industry.
The team is led by highly experienced and skilled industry professionals and the curriculum is designed to cover essential aspects of MT plus an introduction to techniques and applications beyond the classroom including TIE and devised work alongside traditional teaching.
Students can expect to have focussed tuition in singing, dance and acting and explore diverse genres and approaches to performance.
