A one-hour version of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Cats is going to be released, alongside a ‘show pack’ including a production guide, student vocal books, piano and vocal scores, backing tracks, artwork and choreography instructions.

Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group has said the move aims to ‘support teachers looking to reign more arts and drama activities back into their schools’.

A filmed version of the production is already available for schools and youth groups, but it is hoped that a shorter version will enourage more groups to take up the offering.

The production, which was adapted from TS Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, played in London for 21 years.
