The Stage and The Bookseller join forces to launch the British Audio Awards
A new annual awards has been launched by sister publications The Stage and The Bookseller. The event, which is being nicknamed ‘The Speakies’ will celebrate outstanding achievement in audio drama and audiobooks.
The awards have been created in recognition of the growing industry of audio storytelling, offering a chance to celebrate achievements of writers, narrators, producers and creative teams associated with audio output in both the spheres of publishing and the performing arts.
Categories relating to drama include: Best Audio Drama (New /Original Work); Best Audio Drama (Adaptation); and Bet Performance Ensemble.
