Six CPD sessions are available to be booked for the new year, four of which are free to attend. All sessions are focused on set texts, theatre design and practitioners and the free events are Q&As with designers in set, lighting, costume and sound.
We Teach Drama is founded by Lucy Bellingham, teacher, examiner and consultant who has worked within drama education for over twenty years.
She said, 'We never stop developing our knowledge and practice as drama teachers. Therefore, we want to find the most effective ways to train and learn, which have a positive impact on our students.
'There are specific challenges now for drama teachers, with the huge shift towards classroom-based lessons and online learning. Many of our free resources are editable PDFs, for example, so they can be shared directly with students as part of an online or blended-learning curriculum.
'We are specifically developing a range of training and resources focused on technical theatre to provide more insight into professional productions and theatre design. Teachers will be able to sign up for four free webinars in January and February, in which we interview professional theatre designers in the fields of costume, set, sound and lighting.
