The Federation of Drama Schools (FDS) have announced that two new institutions have joined the FDS – the first to do so since the organisations founding back in 2017.

All FDS partner schools remain accountable to their respective national quality assurance and awarding bodies; however, the FDS claims that partner institutions are unified ‘through a recognition that the strength of creative learning lies in its diversity, embracing a wide range of pedagogical approaches, artistic voices, and training models’.

Sean McNamara, chair of FDS, commented: ‘The landscape for specialist creative education and vocational training has shifted significantly in recent years, shaped by profound challenges across both the arts and higher education sectors. Despite this, institutions offering internationally leading practice-based training remain essential to the UK’s creative industries pipeline and the wider cultural ecology.’
