NT celebrates 60th anniversary with free tickets for young people

In addition to free tickets, rehearsals are also commencing for Evan Placey's radical reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic tale Jekyll & Hyde which will tour directly to secondary schools across the country from January 2024.

Celebrating its 60th anniversary, the National Theatre has announced that it is providing 3,600 free tickets for 16-25-year-olds, available across 60 performances on the South Bank and the West End during October. 

The tickets will be available on the NT website from 2 October between 12pm and 6pm (or while tickets last). The productions include The Father and the Assassin, Death of England: Closing Time, The Effect, The Confessions, The Ocean at the End of the Lane and Dear England.

In addition to this offering, on 19 October audiences across the world are invited to watch a special free worldwide stream of Othello on YouTube as part of the new Take Your Seats initiative.
