Bush Theatre has announced two new interactive masterclasses for all levels led by leading theatre practitioners, including Katie Mitchell who is a ‘set practitioner’ on several exam boards including AQA GCSE Drama and Theatre.
On 11 February from 5 - 7pm, the theatre’s writer in residence Trish Cooke and actor, writer and author Nathan Bryon will present ‘Writing in Different Forms’. They will share tips and exercises for refining your ideas for stage, screen and books. Our review of Bryon’s latest play, Dexter and Winter’s Detective Agency, can be read here.
Two weeks later, on 25 February at 3 - 5.30pm, Katie Mitchell will present ‘Introduction to Directing’ in which she will initiate participants in the basic skills needed for theatre directing and guide them through the steps a director takes to produce a mainstream production.
Tickets cost £20 with a limited number of bursary places available as well as concession pricing.
