Southwark Playhouse is working with primary schools to mark the 75th anniversary of the Windrush with a theatre workshop project.

Six primary schools in the Southwark and Lambeth areas will receive workshops from writers. Students will then respond to these sessions with their own short plays, which will be staged by professional actors at London’s South Bank University in three performances in June.

12 professional writers, three directors and 15 actors will take part in the project, reaching Alfred Salter Primary School, Charlotte Sharman Primary School, Friars Primary School, Grange Primary School, Hollydale Primary School and Holy Trinity RC Primary School.
