
Following the closure of the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA), unions have released a public statement claiming that the school’s senior management have handled the situation ‘disgracefully’.
On 4 April, the school revealed in a public letter that the sudden closure was due to financial struggles, with a ‘lack of any significant new income streams in 2021/22’ meaning the organisation was ‘not financially viable’, and was to cease teaching immediately.
