Young people to perform 10 new plays at NT’s Connections Festival 2022

Celebrating its 27th year, the festival will take place at the NT’s Dorfman Theatre from 28 June - 2 July.

Ten school groups and youth theatre companies from across the UK will be staging new plays at this year’s National Theatre Connections Festival. 

As part of the festival, 228 youth groups and over 5,400 young people have had the opportunity to stage a production at one of 28 leading partner theatres nationwide. From this pool, 10 companies have been selected to perform at the National Theatre.

Rufus Norris, director of the National Theatre said: ‘It is fantastic that young people have been performing in theatres right across the UK as part of Connections over the past few months and we are so excited to have the NT building buzzing with their talent in June for the culmination of the nationwide festival.
