Play Text Review
Published by Nick Hern Books

Another Platform play, Red explores grief, loss, and memory from the perspective of Dee, a teenager, as she struggles to come to terms with her friend's disappearance.

The play is designed to be adapted and open to interpretation and exploration, with its disjointed nature reflecting a grieving mind trying to make sense of the past. Red is a journey through memory touching on mental health, with a subtle, yet accessible writing style that provides ample opportunities for a young ensemble to explore, ask questions, and push their performance skills. It is something I would like to see more of and the sort of work I would have relished as a young actor.
