A model for watching live theatre

The skill of watching and evaluating Live Theatre is a now a key element in all GCSE exam specifications. It can often prove a challenge to teachers to make this anything more than a pen and paper exercise. However finding a practical approach to this exam component can often lead to a more developed understanding of the theatre students have seen. In this scheme of work I aim to provide a framework that can be applied to any piece of live theatre. Each lesson is split into two parts; a session to run before watching a piece of theatre (Part A) and a follow-up lesson after you have taken students to the theatre (Part B).
