This scheme of work is based on A Monster Calls: The Play by Sally Cookson. The scheme uses on- and off-text work to explore elements of the play and its characters. It uses devising to create solo, paired and ensemble work focussed on key moments. Most of the activities can be adapted for use with different sections of the text depending on what suits your class.
