Theatre design is a tricky art form. It has a very short life, at best for the length of the run. But mostly it only gets attention until the actors come to do their work; if it doesn’t fade into the background at that point it’s not actually doing its job. And when the show is over, it is dismantled, put into storage and will only reappear as part of another set or costume.
