Watching paralympian athletes, it’s often hard to remember that they are ‘disabled’. But the fact is that people dealing with enormous bodily challenges achieve the most amazing physical and mental outcomes in sport, business, teaching, medicine and their daily lives.
This scheme of six two-hour sessions uses drama techniques to explore a range of disability issues and to ask just who and what is disabled? To be differently-abled doesn’t mean you’re in a wheelchair. Overcoming often extreme physical and mental odds, perhaps the label abled/ disabled is out of date?
