Lilian Baylis Award presents grants to nine drama students

The £2000 grants were presented at a ceremony held at the Old Vic on 16 June.
Students from nine different drama schools have been awarded Lilian Baylis Awards, providing them with financial support to assist in the completion of their studies.
Given out by the Royal Victoria Hall Foundation, the aim of the grant is to help students complete their courses without ‘undue financial stress’.
Presented by Lolita Chakrabarti, the award is accompanied by a £2000 grant for each student.
The award was created in the memory of Baylis, who ran the Old Vic from 1912 until her death in 1937.
The students are:

- Isaac Jean-Meiro - LAMDA
- Gracie Follows - Central
- Amrik Tumber - Mountview
- Buket Ahmed - Drama Studio
- Hayley Keating - ALRA/Rose Bruford
- Beatriz Do Ó - Italia Conti
- Léah Bonaventura O’Cassicci - East 15
