From 30 March to 1 April, The Stage will be hosting the Future of Theatre conference where industry figureheads will host sessions on what the future of theatre looks like, including discussions around drama training and education.

Held over three days, The Stage is running its Future of Theatre conference for the second year running this spring, open to all those in the theatre industry.

Experts in all areas of drama will be speaking at the event between 30 March and 1 April, including a keynote speech delivered by principal of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Josette Bushell-Mingo, on the future of drama training.

Other sessions include an introduction to Arts Against Racism; a discussion about sustainability in theatre with representatives from the Theatre Green Book, the RSC, Citizen Theatre and Theatre Alibi; an insight into theatrical rights in the digital age with NT Live creator David Sabel.

The Future of Theatre conference won Event of the Year at last year’s PPA Independent Publisher Awards. The 2021 conference brought together over 700 attendees online from 21 countries.

250 free tickets are available for freelancers to attend all three days of the conference this year due to the conference’s partnership with Arts Council England.
