The partnered theatres will promote the live stream to their audiences and ticket sales will benefit all the theatres. Crave will be staged to a live, socially distanced audience in the Festival Theatre and simultaneously live streamed to the global digital audiences from 31 October to 7 November

Artistic and executive directors of Chichester Festival Theatre, Daniel Evans and Kathy Bourne, said: ‘It’s wonderful to be reopening our theatre, and brilliant that our friends at National Theatre Wales, the Royal Court and Theatre Royal Plymouth have agreed to partner with us to reach even more audiences across the country – taking theatre into their homes while many are unable to travel.

‘Staying connected is even more important at this time, and we’re thrilled and grateful to be able to work together for what promises to be a stunning production.’

Directed by Tinuke Craig and starring Erin Doherty, Alfred Enoch, Wendy Kweh and Jonathan Slinger, Crave will feature sensory sound and videoscape and is a deeply personal meditation on the meaning of love. It is hoped that the performance will help audiences reconnect after the loneliness and seclusion of the pandemic.

The production is designed by Alex Lowde, with lighting by Joshua Pharo, composition and sound by Anna Clock, video by Ravi Deepres, movement by Jenny Ogilvie and casting by Charlotte Sutton.

Live stream tickets from £10 can be booked at www.cft.org.uk or by calling 01243 781312.

Suitable for ages 16+.
