The new pop-up venue in East Sussex will provide parents and young children with workshops, performances and activities.

Spun Glass Theatre has announced the launch of its first dedicated pop-up venue this September, based in East Sussex.

The venue will provide parents and children aged 0-5 with a space to experience live performance, sensory music, movement activities and creative workshops for a month.

To celebrate the launch of the inaugural pop-up, members of the community are invited to a free ice cream giveaway at the 'Bubbas, Bubbles and Ice Cream' themed launch event on 10 September.

The project aims to bring parents together with access to a new drop-in play place, with workshops, performances and new projects to help those affected by Covid-19.

The new venue will host a programme of performances during a three-day mini theatre festival from 29 September – 1 October.

Creative Director Ross Drury said: ‘Spun Glass Theatre is absolutely delighted to be working with Introduced to bring a pop up venue for little ones and their grown ups to St Leonards for a whole month!’

‘We are working with leading artists and practitioners who make work for the youngest audiences, and we are genuinely excited just to provide a free place where local parents can drop in, play and have coffee. Looking forward to meeting many new faces over a free ice cream at our launch event!’
