Directed and adapted by Gari Jones with costume and set design by Ryan Dawson Laight, L. Frank Baum’s classic story will bring live performance directly into audiences’ homes.

Families and friends can book onto the same performance from different households, and will be able to spot each other in the audience.

Gari Jones said, ‘This show will be playful, silly, surreal and anarchic, but alongside it there’s a tale with a heart that has a beauty and fragility.’

He adds, ‘It’s also really poignant right now, especially when audiences may be feeling a sense of loss and isolation, so we wanted to try to recreate that sense of being able to hang out with your family and friends and experience a unique and fun night of surprises and liveliness.’

The eight-strong cast will reunite the team behind many of Oxford-based Creation Theatre’s Christmas hits, usually staged at the North Wall Arts Centre.

The cast members include Chloe Lemonius as Dorothy; Simon Yadoo as Lion; Dharmesh Patel as Scarecrow; Tom Richardson as Tin Man; Annabelle Terry as the Wizard; Andy Owens; and Shelley Atkinson. A community chorus of over 70 young people from all over the country will also feature in the show, plus there will be a cameo appearance by a special guest to be revealed.

Tickets are £30 per device/per household and can be booked online or by calling 01865 766266.
