IAMPRO, a slick online platform of drama education resources founded by Charlie Brooks, who played Janine Butcher in Eastenders, is far less of a headache to navigate than the intricacies of Janine's love life, and will cost you less than a round at the Vic (£15 for a monthly subscription). The extensive courses library features videos from jobbing actors, directors and writers – all delivered in HD quality with crystal clear focus and frothy enthusiasm.

Co-founder Ben Brooks, former The Bill actor and cameraman for shows such as Man Down and Episodes, manages the tech side, and education expert Emma Brooks takes care of the day to day.
