RSC announces Matilda the Musical livestream for World Book Day

On 28 February, a live stream of World Book Day Live with Matilda and Friends will be available for classrooms and homes across the UK. 

Streaming on WorldBookDay.com from the Cambridge Theatre London, the event will feature a special live performance from the RSC’s Matilda the Musical. 

There will also be a cast reading from Roald Dahl’s Matilda, as well as a showcase of authors and illustrators, including Greg James, Chris Smith, Frank Cottrell-Boyce, Humza Arshad MBE, Allen Fatimaharan, and children's laureates Cressida Cowell and Chris Riddell. 

The event is in collaboration with long-term partners the Roald Dahl Story Company, Royal Shakespeare Company and Puffin. 

Classrooms and homes across the UK will be able to access the livestream from 11am via WorldBookDay.com/events
